Historically, the electric car is started in the 1900s, but it was not until the end of the 20th Century and early 21 Century has taken over the true electric car. Earlier this decade, the gas prices began to rise, and President George W. Bush began releasing statements of encouragement for car manufacturers to find alternative energy sources to solve our dependence on foreign oil.
That was great advice and it sounded just as good in the 1980s, when President Reagan spoke of foreign oil companies with a foothold in the U.S.. Fast forward to the 11/08/10, two large car companies are Nissan and Chevrolet has two fully electric cars, which is open to the public release.
Nissan calls it the car "Leaf" and calls her car, the Chevrolet "Volt". Apparently Nissan is for the "green" image goes behind her car and Chevrolet will try to keep their brand "Power" with this model of electric vehicles. These two cars are geared towards the public and the government is promoting the sale of these vehicles by offering discounts to the buyers to them more affordable. These cars nice and comfortable, but there were errors in the automotive industry, where people thought a particular model car would do great things. Some of the best examples are the Ford Pinto, Mitsubshi Montero, Ford Edsel, Cadillac Cimarron, and GM EV1 were all expected to sell very well, but they did not.
To say that it is an exaggeration sold reasonably well, and GM EV1 is important because it was the first car that was to bring in the new wave of electric vehicles. After a recall of GM, under suspicious reasons, the production was stopped and the next thing EV1, an electric car was a hybrid. Hybrids are not a solution to the problem of dependence on foreign oil, at best, a nice patch is. These new cars last longer than its predecessor and hopefully encourage all-electric vehicles to be made and similar will be held as the first gasoline-powered vehicle progression. The worst thing that could happen is the planet be air a little cleaner, but are, at best, the price of gasoline powered cars drop to dirt cheap and we all could afford a nice muscle car for a fraction of the price....
