However, it is easy to forget that these simple things can actually make a difference to our environment. As they say, if we want change, we must begin with ourselves. So let me give you a few tips on how to live a more environmentally friendly life.

Switch to compact fluorescent or compact fluorescent lamps. CFL bulbs are inexpensive, energy efficient and can last up to 10 times longer than conventional incandescent bulbs. This means you do not need to replace your lamps and as often as you also save on your monthly energy costs.

Buy more environmentally friendly products at home. Most of the products we have in our homes everyday as our bathroom cleaning products, soaps and dishwashing products in factories, producing emit toxic chemicals. This causes pollution and damage to the environment, which in turn affect our health in a not so positive. If a lot of people would switch to more environmentally friendly products, these factories are not that much more harmful products.

Save water by washing only full loads of dishes and clothes. Another good way of conserving water by you, if it is not short showers and turning off the water tap in use.

Use a bike not a car, especially if you anywhere near your place. In this way, your contribution pollution would be greatly reduced and you get to save on your gas costs.

Ditch disposable stuff, and change can be recycled. A classic example is to buy reusable water containers instead of constantly bottled water.

Feeding your baby organic baby food instead of those bottles preservative laden baby food in the supermarket. Organic food is good. Always remember, dass

Turn off appliances when not in use. Devices such as televisions and computers still consume energy even when turned off. Therefore it is very important to take your equipment when you are not with them.

Recycle, recycle, recycle. Recycling is probably one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the environment. Recycling saves energy, natural resources, and best of all, it reduces pollution and the waste disposed of, which is dumped in our landfills.

Wash and dry your dishes by hand instead of using your dishwasher. To save water and electricity at the same time. Washing could also help you to burn calories, so it's really a win-win task.

th Pay your bills online. At this time and age where everything can be accessed online for an electronic invoice is conveniently located, when loads of paper bills, just straight to the trash. Imagine all the trees we could save this way....
